1) How did you enjoy the film? What stood out for you?

I enjoyed the film because it made an impact o the way people would think about kids that are born in the brothels. This film is inspiring because it shows that kids that live in third world countries can become anything they want even though their poor.  The thing that stood out for me was that the way the children were living. Some of the parents didn’t even care what they became in life. Only some of the moms and grandma actually even cared about them. The kids lving in The Red Light District either become prostitues or pimps or even get into doing drugs and sit home. Its hard for the kids to still dream about going to school because they don’t have the money or their not getting any support from their families to become what they want to become.

 2) Did you learn anything new about photography, life, people? What?

I learned that by accidentaly you can take a really good picture and not even know it. It doesn’t matter what kind of camera or any other equipment you have to take a really good picture it depends on the photograper. If kids in third world countries can take such good pictures without little education, this shows that people that live in other countries with good education can even do better in photography.

3) How do you think the world needs to change? How important is this?

The world needs to change because their are so many poor people around the world. More people need to help out the poor. So if their are less poor people the less money other people have to give to the poor. Everyone should live happy not only rich people or people that live in good countries. This is important because it will help people.

4) What are you willing to do TODAY to be a part
of that change?

If I had alot of money I would donate most of it to the poor and encourage others to donate as well. Because the more we donate and slowly the less we are going to have to donate because more and more poor families will be living the good life.

5) Do you know a good song/rap/poem with
good lyrics about change in the world?
Post a link or lyrics to share it with us.

 “Ghetto Gospel”
Tupac (feat. Elton John)

Uhh,
Hit them with a lil’ ghetto gospel

[Chorus - Elton John:]
Those who wish to follow me (My ghetto gospel)
I welcome with my hands
And the red sun sinks at last into the hills of gold
And peace to this young warrior without the sound of guns

[2Pac]
If I could recollect before my hood days
I’d sit and reminisce, nigga and bliss on the good days
I stop and stare at the younger, my heart goes to’em
They tested, it was stressed that they under
In our days, things changed
Everyone’s ashamed to the youth cause the truth looks strange
And for me it’s reversed, we left them a world that’s cursed, and it hurts
cause any day they’ll push the button
and yall condemned like Malcolm x and Bobby Hunton, died for nothing
Don’t them let me get teary, the world looks dreary
but when you wipe your eyes, see it clearly
there’s no need for you to fear me
if you take your time to hear me, maybe you can learn to cheer me
it ain’t about black or white, cause we’re human
I hope we see the light before its ruined
my ghetto gospel

[Chorus - Elton John]

[2Pac]
Tell me do you see that old lady ain’t it sad
Living out a bag, but she’s glad for the little things she has
And over there there’s a lady, crack got her crazy
Guess she’s given birth to a baby
I don’t trip and let it fade me, from outta the frying pan
We jump into another form of slavery
Even now I get discouraged
Wonder if they take it all back while I still keep the courage
I refuse to be a role model
I set goals, take control, drink out my own bottles
I make mistakes, I learn from everyone
And when its said and done
I bet this Brotha be a better one
If I’m upset, you don’t stress
Never forget, that God hasn’t finished with me yet
I feel his hand on my brain
When I write rhymes, I go blind, and let the lord do his thang
But am I less holy
Cause I choose to puff a blunt and drink a beer with my homies
Before we find world peace
We gotta find peace and end the war on the streets
My ghetto gospel

[Chorus - Elton John]

[2Pac]
Lord can you hear me speak!!
To pay the price of being hell bound…

1) Will a 300 dpi image or a 72 dpi image be clearer when printed out at the same size? How come?

An image with 300 dpi is clearer than an image with 72 dpi because the the more dpi’s you have the more detail is in the image which makes it clearer.

2) What would a picture created at 1 dpi look like?

A picture that has 1 dpi will be very unclear, and will not be able to see the image.

 1.  I used the combination of the magnetic lasso and the magic wand. I used the magic wand to remove the background, and I used the magnetic lasso to remove anything that I left out. By using the magnetic lasso to go around the fruit bowl.

2.  I think that using the magnetic lasso was the best method to use to isolate the fruit bowl. The other mehods were really well to use but for me the magnetic lasso was the best to use.

3.  a) All that this did was expand the object that was selected by as many pixels you want it to.

b) This makes the selection smaller by as many pixels as you want.

 c) This method contracts the image by as many pixels as you want.

4. Yes, I did figure out what “contiguous” means when you use the magic wand, and it automaticly deletes the backgorund.
